Step 1

To a slow cooker, add the chicken breasts, chipotle in adobo sauce, onion, garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, chilli powder, sea salt and black pepper. Stir well and cover to cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. Add black beans in the last 30 minutes and continue to cook until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
